Bushra Husain is a licensed clinical social worker and an expert on gender-based violence, forced marriage, and intergenerational trauma, and noted achievement in program management, leadership, and development.

Bushra's clinical expertise includes 11 years in a group private practice, Nasiha Counseling, where she has provided clinical counseling services to the Muslim community in New York. Bushra has proven experience in managing and directing programs as well as training students, case managers, and clinicians. Bushra has also conducted research in the areas of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, with publication in the Clinical Social Work Journal.  In addition, Bushra has made numerous conference presentations focusing on the intersection of forced marriage, gender-based violence, and trauma.
